S&K Technologies, Inc. Classification & Security Techical Specialist in Aiken, South Carolina
S&K Logistics Services, LLC (SKLS), a member of the S&K Technologies Family of Companies owned by the Salish and Kootenai Tribes, is actively seeking a Classification & Security Technical Specialist. This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Manager for Safeguards and Security (AMS), Savannah River Field Office (SRFO) and serves as the Classification & Security Technical Specialist for AMS programs and activities. The contractor will provide classification, controlled unclassified information, and classified matter protection and control support to SRFO Classification Officer (CO). This position is responsible for providing a variety of technical and administrative support as assigned and is heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of AMS. As such, the demand for effective communication with an emphasis on confidentially, discretion, flexibility and a high level of professionalism is a must. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce specific Classification and Security technical and work product support:
Review documentation for classified information or CUI content for release to the DNFB or for public release.
Assist the SRFO CO with the administration of the SRFO DC/RO program.
Assist the SRFO CO with the review of local and DOE HQ classification guidance and development of updates to the local guides.
Assist the SRFO CO with the development of classification guidance for SRPPF.
Conduct assessments of the SRNS/SRTE Classification program in accordance with the requirements of DOE O 475.2B.
Conduct assessments of the SRFO and SRNS/SRTE Classified Matter Protection and Control program in accordance with DOE O 471.6.
Conduct assessments of the SRFO and SRNS/SRTE UCNI and CUI programs in accordance with DOE O 471.1B and 471.3.
All qualifications, education, and experience listed in the job description must be able to be demonstrated at an appropriate level for the position through evaluation of the resume, testing, and an interview process as appropriate. Meeting of all qualifications, education, and experience requirements will be at the discretion of Human Resources and the Hiring Manager.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Work experience may substitute for the education requirement. Each 2 years of related experience is equivalent to 1 year of college.
3-years’ experience as a Material Classification and Security Specialist is required.
DOE experience in Material Classification and Security is desired.
Current driver’s license required.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain L or Q clearance.
Must have a knowledge of federal/military material classifications and security controls. Applicable DOE order knowledge is desired.
Must have program audit and assessment experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication required, as well as, the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers/employees.
Must have effective skills and behaviors with an emphasis on confidentially, discretion, and flexibility.
Must be able to manage time efficiently and be able to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work professionally with individuals and diverse groups.
Must perform task assignments seamlessly without supervision within a team environment in support of NNSA missions.
Must have an advanced understanding of correspondence management, data collection, and office software (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and FileMaker Pro).
