ICF Consulting Group, Inc. CSSP Incident Response Analyst in Charleston, South Carolina

ICF is seeking an experienced CSSP Incident Response Analyst to provide computer network defense incident response support, correlation analysis, and support for the fielded DCO analysis suite for subscribers for a large scale federal agency DoD program.

The contractor shall assist with the maintenance of current SOPs and support to CSSP Incident Response group. The creation and modification of SOPs, reports, written guidance, and policy are reviewed and approved by the government.

Core Duties:

  • Execute, draft, edit, and maintain SOP documentation

  • Maintain existing NIWC CSSP Incident Response SOP

  • Ensure associated documentation and capabilities remain compliant with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Memorandum (CJCSM) 6510.01B and other applicable policy directives

  • Ensure incidents are properly entered into appropriate automated reporting systems

  • Provide coordination of significant incidents with USCYBERCOM and supported entities to ensure proper analysis is performed and timely and accurate reporting of the incident is affected

  • Ensure incidents are properly entered into appropriate automated reporting systems

  • Provide, develop, and maintain a forensic capability to enhance response to, support of, and investigation into significant network incidents in order to provide a clearer view of the exploits, vulnerabilities, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used to cause the incident

  • Provide support for the CSSP’s Incident Response 24x7 support capability during non-core business hours consistent with CSSP requirements

  • Provide network forensics support to the CSSP’s DCO Incident Response capability

  • Participate in program reviews and onsite certification evaluations

  • Develop Incident Summary Reports after incident closure to capture Lessons Learned

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure Support staff to meet CSSP requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant IT experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Security clearance required - DOD preferred

  • An advanced understanding of current threats and trends present in the Information Security and Technology field.

  • Advanced knowledge of systems and network technologies and protocols

  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of computer security concepts

  • DOD 8570 Compliance, or the ability to quickly obtain and maintain active security certifications

  • Strong initiative and a personal interest in Information Technology Security.

  • People skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various clients with the ability to explain and elaborate on technical details.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
