Abacus Technology Database Administrator in Charleston, South Carolina
Abacus Technology is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and support information systems for Joint Base Charleston. This is a full-time position.
Act as the administrator for the organization's database, using database management system to organize and store data. Provide services and solutions to develop and administer the 437 OG SharePoint Sites (including the Mission History database). Ascertain user requirements, create computer databases, and test and coordinate changes. Interact with development and end-user personnel to determine application data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, and other pertinent data required to develop and maintain integrated databases. Ensure performance of database.
3+ years experience in database administration and management. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified. Experience with Oracle or SQL Server database and application server administration. Experience with SharePoint development and administration. Experience with projecting long-range requirements for database administration in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function as well as business function managers. Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize experience within database relationships using diagrams and explain how databases interact with one another. Able to work independently or as part of a team and interact professionally within all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
