Job Summary/Purpose : MUSC's senior executive responsible for developing the data strategy, managing the enterprise data governance processes, and enabling the optimal deployment of data to drive academic, research, and clinical business objectives to include establishing value creation through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies as well as enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data governance, and enterprise information policy. Moreover, the CDO is responsibility for aligning data policy and administration with relevant regulatory, legal and ethical mandates.

Minimum Training and Education: A master's degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Ten (10) years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Data Management, Analytics reporting, IT Security/Compliance, IT Architecture, Project Management, or Clinical/Research Informatics. Academic qualification or professional training and experience in legal and regulatory areas are also desirable.
