Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for Sr. Manager of Network Development with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in large-scale, physical network infrastructure. As a Sr. Manager of Network Development you will lead a team of network engineers responsible for the day-to-day management of OCI s network servicing Oracle s customers. Due to the nature of the space, this role is a full-service opportunity, where duties cover the breadth of Networking disciplines, including engineering, operations, scaling, and supporting network monitoring and network automation.
In this role you will:
Develop & manage a team of highly skilled network engineers
Establish & report on a body of metrics that define our network availability
Drive the network health & availability program, including increasing efficiencies based upon generated metrics
Manage and maintain a body of tooling and automation to support the management & maintenance of our cloud network infrastructure
Collaborate with Network Engineering, Network Automation, Network Monitoring, and the Operations Engineering organization to deliver a highly-available product to our customers
Define and deliver an annual roadmap
Advance our incident response, iteratively diminishing the MTTR for network-related problems
Participate in on call rotation for incident management
5 years experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available network environments (large cloud, ISP, or service provider)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
Experience in data center and/or service provider network environments, with a focus on operations
Understanding of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
Experience managing software development project a plus (but not required)
