Advantage Media Group Publishing Project Manager in Charleston, South Carolina

Advantage Media Group has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with experience managing client service projects with a cross-functional team. Advantage works with top tier business professionals to position, promote, and market them as the Authority in their industry, community, or marketplace. The Project Manager should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, persuasive, supportive, and enjoy working collaboratively with others while advocating for Member goals and upholding execution standards.

The mission for the Project Manager (PM) is to coordinate the delivery of publishing and marketing projects, which includes working with editorial, graphic design, publicity, social media, content marketing, and web development teams. The PM serves as the project owner for their account team and is the responsible party for ensuring each account team member delivers their elements of the project on time. The PM works with the account team to provide necessary inputs for completion of work, track project expenses, forecast upcoming work, allocate resources, and keep projects up to date and moving forward. Additionally, the PM works within our Project Management system to track processes and documentation of the Member?s specific terms and goals. The PM requires familiarity with various process methodologies and experience creating or evaluating workflows for efficiencies. The PM will help create an ?Enjoyable, Fun, and Prosperous membership experience? for each client. Success will be reflected by contributing to the company?s goal of books published per quarter and by a client?s retention and renewal in the Authority Marketing System/Branding Visibility and Marketing program.

Expected Outcomes

  • Serve as a project manager for up to 50 simultaneous clients. Our c-level clients require precise execution of the publishing and marketing deliverables. You will organize, plan and manage the execution of deliverables with various internal team members. This requires excellent communication skills and an ability to manage changes in timing, budget and scope.

  • Ensure >95% project milestones are delivered on time to client. Manage the prioritization and workflow of all projects to ensure target timelines can be achieved. Communicate client details internally and externally to ensure projects are delivered on time.

  • Assist account team in retaining and engaging clients in our Authority Marketing System/Branding Visibility and Marketing program. Provide back end support to your account team in delivering an ?Enjoyable, Fun, and Prosperous Membership experience.? Success will be reflected by a client?s retention in the Authority Marketing System/Branding Visibility and Marketing program.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • 2 or more years experience in project management or a related field

  • Must have PASSION for Project Management. A proven track record of success in managing projects is a MUST

  • Must be EXTREMELY detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Must be resourceful and able to overcome obstacles on his/her own

  • Superior communication skills, including written and verbal

  • Flexibility to change and adapt to new processes, with a problem-solving mindset

  • 4-year degree required

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is located in our Charleston, South Carolina office. Team Members are eligible for health, dental and vision benefits the first day of the month after thirty (30) days of employment. Eligibility for all other benefits is at ninety (90) days of employment.
