VMware Senior Software Engineer, Spring Commercial SSO Team - VMware Tanzu - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Charleston, South Carolina
About VMware and TeamTanzu
Ready to build? So are we. Come join VMware’s new exciting Modern Applications Platform Business Unit (MAPBU), made up of products and services under the Tanzu portfolio to help customers build, run and manage their most important applications. We build applications with velocity to run in a cloud-native environment, run open-source Kubernetes with consistency, and manage our customers’ entire footprint with confidence to help them achieve their business outcomes.
You will be a key contributor to all aspects of the Spring Cloud Commercial SSO projects which may include Spring Java development (both server-side and client-libraries), working with concourse CI pipelines and developing command line tools. There is also the chance to contribute to other open source projects in the Spring portfolio. This is a distributed team that uses virtual stand-ups, video meetings and slack to stay in contact throughout the work day. Being productive in a distributed team requires strong communication skills and over time you may have the opportunity to interface with many other parts of the organization, work with customers or present the product at events/conferences.
The Spring Cloud Commercial SSO team is building identity management tools and integrations in the Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) and Tanzu Application Service (TAS) platform services to make building microservice style architectures simpler, more secure, and fully managed, so developers can focus on building their application logic.
The next generation of Spring Commercial SSO products are being built on Tanzu Kubernetes Grid. These services will leverage native kubernetes features for routing, security and deployment. Our team also maintains and supports several components used in our customers’ enterprise production deployments today.
