Oracle Software Developer 4 in Charleston, South Carolina

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado. The Visual Builder Infrastructure team is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the Visual Builder Cloud Service, from provisioning to upgrade to terminate. The team works on all aspects of the infrastructure for the service: from design and development to monitoring and maintenance of the fleet and automation of the day to day operations. As a Principal, you’ll use the latest technologies to engineer infrastructure solutions for scale and performance while providing strong guarantees of availability to our customers. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: * BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field * 7 years of professional experience in industry * Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms) * Proficient in Java, Python and shell scripting tools * Experience with REST APIs and JSON * Experience with RDBMS system, good knowledge of SQL (Oracle preferred) * Experience with container orchestration like: Kubernetes/Docker Swarm/Mesos, experience working on Helm Charts, etc. * Strong understanding of the full stack J2EE and Web technologies. * Familiarity with Java stack traces and log-based diagnostics a plus. * Strong working experience on: Git, GitHub/Bitbucket, TeamCity/Hudson, Maven/Gradle Some experience in one or more of the following technologies is a plus: * Terraform * Tomcat * Helidon Job: Product Development* *Organization: Oracle *Title: *Software Developer 4 Location: United States Requisition ID: 21000FXH
