The Technical Writer will review and edit highly complex written and graphic technical materials, including system configuration, documentation, studies, reports and other presentation graphics.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Reviews and edits highly complex written and graphic technical materials, including system configuration, documentation, studies, reports and other presentation graphics
Ensure compliance with standards of style, format, structure and organization of material.
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of DoD military specifications and standards-
Incorporate methods, procedures, operation and maintenance of electronic systems or equipment with clarity, conciseness and terminology
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
DoD Secret Clearance; TS/SSBI preferred
2-3 years? experience in an Information Technology or software environment
3-4 years? experience in Technical Writing or Communications
Ability to read and understand policies and procedures
Experience in compliance with regulations and inspections
Ability to ensure operational requirements are accomplished
Strong analytical and problems solving ability
Strong and concise verbal and written communication skills
Experience with reviewing documentation
Experience with coordinating document updates between teams
High degree of self-motivation and detail-orientation
Strong work ethic and a proven professional - respectful, dependable, takes initiative and follows through
