This position is responsible for establishing and managing the Digital Content Strategy for Colonial Life and Unum US. This position supports the search, social and content marketing for our external facing web properties and apps. This position implements the strategy for programs and campaigns to support our business initiatives through partnership with our brand and advertising initiatives. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring our digital assets are managed and maintained, including online properties and apps.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Creates and implements digital content strategy for public-facing Colonial Life and Unum US web properties, including Unum.com, CL.com, Youville, GetBenefitsSmart, etc.
Develops and curates annual content strategy for public-facing web properties and digital marketing programs. Manages content creation both internally and through vendor partnerships, and collaborates with key business areas to increase awareness and engagement across core audiences.
Develops multichannel digital marketing content intended to both drive Digital Marketing initiatives and support business unit objectives across Unum US and Colonial Life.
Directs and manages consultants and vendors producing and curating content for Integrated Marketing.
Creates and implements Social Media strategy as it relates to content-based work.
Manage content production responsible for curating both internal and external communications intended for digital properties, marketing programs and campaigns.
Develop and expand on search and keyword optimization to support search objectives.
Partners with teams to support programs and overall marketing initiatives.
May perform other duties as assigned.
College degree required with 5+ years of marketing and content creations
Some systems experience with an emphasis on online tools and applications, experience with content management systems
Knowledge of web development, digital marketing, content, search and social programs and campaigns
Ability to interface effectively with business partners across the organization
Understand analytics and program ROI, inclusive of keyword optimization within content
Knowledge and understanding of department and corporate strategic objectives and goals.
High level of skill in developing, mentoring, empowering, managing, and supporting staff.
Skill in interviewing, recruiting and determining the suitability of candidates for various roles, as required.
Excellent listening, partnering and communications skills
High level of initiative and drive for results
