This role will be responsible for technical design and implementing the technology platform to support the entire retail systems strategy. Develop overall technical architecture for the North American Retail Systems platform in coordination with Group Enterprise Architecture. Work closely with IT teams and external partners to align technology solutions which meet operational, reporting, client, and business needs.
The successful candidate will:
Uses business process engineering methodology to gain understanding of business needs and to ensure successful integration
Lead project team members through all activities required to successfully deliver MDM/PIM solutions using best practices
Develops blueprints, evaluates technology options/tools, and identifies solution gaps
Guide definition and roll out of data governance strategies, policies, roles, responsibilities, processes, controls, and rules
Maps business processes to IT systems and ensures proper applications linkage
Engages with IT and business leaders to identify key decision points
Ensures technology architecture decisions are aligned with NORAM & Group IT Strategy
Ensures a cohesive applications portfolio exists with minimal duplication, and identifies areas for improvement
Understands and designs system integration methods between internal and external systems
Understands and designs systems that are enterprise-class, highly reliable and scalable to match expected system usage and transaction volumes
Analyzes industry, technology trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise
Develops overall systems technical architecture to meet needs
Draft design documents and technical specs for the overall business solution
Define technical specifications for workflows and business rules
Configure, build, and unit test solution components, including data structures, roles, workflows, imports/exports and user interfaces/portals
Build and unit test data migration and integration components
Support integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing
Lead solution design, development/configuration, testing, jobs and debugging
Perform product data modeling and instantiation
Create technical design, priority & sequence, scope, and function of projects necessary to fill in architecture
Reviews technology project estimates and solution designs for internal development and external vendors
Executes and is responsible for overall program necessary to build out defined technology platform working with internal IT teams and external partners
Facilitates systematic "build vs. buy" analysis, issues RFP’s as appropriate
Acts as communication bridge between technical IST development and business leaders in easy-to-understand language
Ensures ease-to-use is a main driver of systems development
Ensures scope of systems is focused on meeting basic business needs initially (80/20 rule)
Ensures cost-effective trade-offs are made following fit-gap analysis
Identifies system roadmaps with increasing levels of integration
Find solutions to Operational Systems challenges and ensures root cause identified and corrected
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
BS in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience
At least two full lifecycle implementations of the Stibo STEP solution for Product MDM or PIM; additional MDM implementations experience a plus
5+ years’ experience in Systems Architecture
3+ years’ experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS-SQL databases
3+ years’ experience with Integration platforms
Strong background in Application Development and IT Infrastructure
Strong Project Management and Technical Resource Management skills
Exposure to Sodexo activities (Supply Mgt, Retail Systems or Facility Systems) and technologies preferred

Position Summary
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of architectural approaches and solutions to information technology needs. Technical Lead in business process design and application integration. Ensures the success of enterprise-level application rollouts. Modifies or adapts existing designs, helps determine economic value to the business of application development and integration efforts. Provides cohesive applications portfolio with minimal duplication and identifies areas for improvement. Acts as communication bridge between technical IS&T development and business leaders in easy to understand language. Establishes and manages budget, tracking capital expenditures and expenses for projects vs. budget.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience – 7 years in business systems analysis, and information technology architecture experience and project management methods
