We are looking for an established Enterprise Architect with the ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom.
Embedded as part of an evolving Enterprise Security Architecture practice within the Information Security organisation, the successful candidate will be key to building a holistic view and long-term strategic roadmap for key systems that enable productivity, compliance and governance of the overall application and security control landscape at American Express.
Key Responsibilities
Partnering with senior technology staff and business leaders to act as an advisor to strategic planning efforts
Helping business and technology leaders clarify their objectives and expectations for technological innovation efforts
Facilitating strategy decisions through consulting and support in execution
Bringing a customer experience lens to technology strategy
Partnering with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
Qualifications
Key Skills
Ability to drive business culture and technology change in a dynamic environment
Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong consultative skills at a cross-functional level
Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders
Comfortable with ambiguity
Knowledge of architectural design frameworks, integration frameworks and patterns
Experience
Experience building strategic technology plans and roadmaps
Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex solutions
Good awareness of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
Experience in the domains of Information Security, Risk and Compliance.
Experience working in agile teams, preferably some exposure to SAFe
Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modelling, benchmarking, and financial analysis
Domain knowledge and experience in Application Portfolio Management would be ideal
