The Enterprise Messaging System Communication Engineer is responsible for designing and developing communications products and network technologies.
Responsible for service delivery to include feasibility exercises, determining connectivity and signal access, and preparing detailed, technical and operational documentation.
Communicates with internal and external groups to determine communications requirements and prepare engineering specifications to ensure functional requirements are met.
Responsible for providing Microsoft Exchange (2013 and later) support and managing e-mail capability of using signed and encrypted technology associated with encryption devices High Grade Service (HGS) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Medium Grade Service (MGS).
Provides enterprise mobile management software support for mobile devices (Blackberry, Apple or Android devices). Maintains Microsoft Communicator technologies (Office Communication Server and/or Lync).
Develops and maintains system concept of operations (CONOPS), engineering plans, and user guides for Enterprise Messaging Service.
Analyzes a wide array of system performance metrics to recognize substandard performance.
Troubleshoots and develops viable options to resolve substandard performance anomalies both remotely and locally.
Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on system use to include account utilization.
Provides general networking, LAN/WAN enterprise, CONUS and OCONUS deployment/TDY travel, functional training, and meetings/briefings to support AFCENT NOSC operations.
B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years’ relevant IT experience; OR 7 or more years’ relevant IT experience.
Security+ or CCNA-Sec
MCSE (Server Infrastructure), CCENT, Firewall, and ITIL Foundation
