AgFirst is seeking a Web Designer that is responsible for creating amazing user experiences for our customers. The ability to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. Responsible for executing on all phases of visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas. Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and stakeholders. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards. Additional responsibilities include the development of various marketing materials to support integrated marketing campaigns, including email templates, social media graphics and display ads.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and develop website design ideas that improves the user experience and drives conversions:*

  • The ability to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs

  • Responsible for executing on all phases of visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering

  • Provide designs that are /effective,/ demonstrating an understanding of the audience and correct interpretation of the customer's needs

  • Demonstrate /creativity/ by using knowledge of graphic design principles, including composition, components and concept

  • Offer innovative and creative solutions to design challenges or unusual requests

  • Seek ways to incorporate new techniques and design trends, adhering to the desired Farm Credit image

Conceptualize original design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks:*

  • Consult with peers and stakeholders to identify needs and develop concepts to meet the stated goals

  • Applicable to customer-facing websites, search and display campaign tactics and web applications

Website Maintenance*

**

  • Responsible for the maintenance of Bank and Association websites, including but not limited to routine updates and edits, adding additional content, and posting of annual reports

Additional support/administration:*

**

  • Provide additional support to web/design team in support of departmental goals

  • Administrative tasks are required to fulfill project needs and closeout

Requirements:*

**

  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or web development, or equivalent training and on-the-job experience with at least 2-3 years of creative and design experience

  • Min 2-3 years related experience in web development/design and graphic design

  • Thorough understanding of web design/development and user experience

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping

  • Drupal development and administration experience preferred but not required

  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps

  • Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools

  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies

  • Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and develop accurate project time estimates

  • Refined written, oral and visual communications skills with the ability to speak effectively before an audience

  • Demonstrates ability to establish priorities, take initiative, work under time constraints, and exercise sound business judgment
