RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, test, tune, and implement database objects and any supporting SQL scripts

  • Maintain sites (Public site and SharePoint site Collection) content by using coding such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, XML and ASP.net to enhance user’s experience. Also, create content, such as text, and insert images and audio, such as graphics, videos and photos.

  • Coordinate with computer/multimedia specialist in designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements and also have strong knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver).

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom components required for Portal sites and Team Sites(master pages, workflows, InfoPath forms, internet)

  • Edit site collections and site pages using SharePoint designer 2010, 2013

  • Writing and editing content, layout and design, determining technical requirements, updating websites, creating back up files.

  • Develop Microsoft Access database macros and Scripts using VBA.

  • Develop applications for SharePoint 2013 using the SharePoint Client Site Object Model and Server Side Object Model

  • Use strong communications and interpersonal skills

  • Apply System Development Life Cycle to web sites

  • Ability to analyze web traffic by using google analytics

  • Follow all DoD security and OPSEC policies.

  • Create and manage a variety of SharePoint Web Parts to include SharePoint Lists, Site Pages, Document Libraries, etc. Register Public sites with search engines.

  • Upgrades sites by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology; maintaining links.

  • Protects sites by designing and installing security precautions.

  • Maintains sites appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards; editing submissions.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Attend courses on line and in-residence to Windows OS, Software Development applications, and Microsoft Office products when upgrades are necessary.

  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventive maintenance, and submit trouble tickets for any repairs.

  • Continuing education may be necessary in order to keep up with the trends and emerging technology involved with the Internet. A strong background in graphic design is recommended but not necessary.

  • Provide technical support and collaboration with the HQ TRADOC SharePoint Administrator and the US Army Center for Initial Military Training SharePoint/Web Developer(s).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have Windows 10 and Security+ training. SharePoint 2010/2013 certification is preferred, but not required, although must have at least 2 years of experience in the application.
