Pike Corporation Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of our target architecture in accordance to our strategic business plans. The position also determines the skills and resource requirements needed for the IT organization.

This role brings leadership in envisioning, planning and executing the right solutions in an iterative and agile manner.

Essential Functions:

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect will be responsible for all strategic, tactical, operational, team and technical resource leadership accountabilities associated with the following areas:

  • Strategic thinker with experience presenting solutions to senior-level audiences.

  • Researches and recommends technology and business process solutions to transform the business and give the company competitive advantage in alignment with strategic direction.

  • Researches and implements new technologies in partnership with the Business and IT teams and recommends new patterns of technology to apply to the company's business challenges.

  • Manages appropriate vendor relationships and acts as liaison between internal teams and executives ensuring that architecture standards and guidelines are adhered to.

  • Consults with key stakeholders to understand business strategy, data requirements, develops and executes plan to meet needs, influence decisions and facilitates roadmap.

  • Develops and ensures enterprise IT architecture standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures for infrastructure, data interchange, and common applications are used in conjunction with the overall enterprise architecture strategy and target IT architecture.

  • Communicates at the executive level, manage C-suite delivery expectations, facilitates business prioritization.

  • Establish and cultivate trust and confidence with internal project teams and clients.

  • Facilitate open discussions, difficult discussions, effective decision making, and the smooth operation and interaction throughout the teams.

  • Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information clearly, consistently and automatically.

  • Understand deeply technical conversations and problems, contribute to solving both technical and non-technical operational issues.

  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving.

  • Be a thought-leader and mentor for the technology team, in order to drive a culture of positive thinking, constant learning, collaboration, and improvement.

  • Drive a strong engineering culture based on learning, optimism, teamwork, and career development.

  • Partners with the Chief Information Officer and VP of IT Business Management to build and ultimately be responsible for driving the implementation of strategic and operational IT architecture objectives with significant impact on the short-term and long-term success of systems and infrastructure architecture.

  • Works with other IT functions in helping to strategically rationalize IT applications in accordance with the target IT architecture.

  • Collaborates with all internal IT functions to promote use of technologies, receive feedback and guide teams to assist in business alignment with technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable data privacy regulations and policies as they relate to data.

  • Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well communicated expectations.

  • Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations.

  • Proven experience creating strategies and executing on innovative and leading-edge data solutions (i.e. big data, AI, ML etc.).

  • Proven experience solving business problems in the Oracle Fusion Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics platforms.

  • Proven experience with solving Master Data definitions and data and system integration strategies.

  • Proven experience with Cloud platforms and internal company facing delivery models.

  • Extensive experience in creating process & data architecture models.

  • Hands-on experience with business process modeling.

  • Possesses effective communication skills and ability to interpret data and influence leaders.

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on the end user and end to end process.

  • Ability to manage and balance transformational roadmap initiatives alongside high day to day ad hoc needs.

  • Ability to manage and balance speed to market, agility, scalability, robustness and security.

  • Enjoys working in a close, highly energized, team-oriented environment.

  • Possesses a strong sense of user/customer experience and needs for both external clients and internal power-users.

  • Ability to effectively evaluate and communicate the potential value of emerging solutions like machine learning and artificial intelligence.

  • Expert knowledge of all the major trends in architecture, including relevant best practices to proactively use new technology as a competitive advantage.

  • Possesses a solid and inherent understanding and application of data security.

  • Willingness to travel 10 percent to meet with clients as well as meet with internal teams in our multiple offices.

  • Experience as a Software developer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field is required.

  • Minimum of 10 years in software development.

  • Minimum of 10 years of data analysis, data quality and data integration.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Databases such as Oracle, SQL etc.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on Oracle Cloud SaaS with HCM/PAY, FIN and PPM or with Oracle eBusiness suite experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with expertise in large-scale, enterprise software that requires high performance, scalability, and redundancy, during which both hands-on and leadership capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.

  • Must have legal right to work in the US.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
