Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a Mid-Career Level Information Systems Analyst to function as part of an international technical team in a multi-faceted role, responsible for maintaining and supporting a medium-sized infrastructure with physical and virtual servers on VMware platform. This position is located in Iraq and the selected candidate can deploy from their current location. Candidate will support, enterprise applications that relates to flight operations, maintenance and logistics. Additional responsibilities include:

• Support backup operations, database maintenance, systems updates, software and Java security patching

• Serve as desktop support to assist military aviation personnel. Candidate will be responsible for planning, implementation and maintaining of systems

• Support desktop, file services, print services, asset management & inventory control in a mixed end user community (foreign nationals and US) of about 500 to 800 users

• Communicate effectively with peers, LM internal customers and must also be able to work with foreign national customers.

• Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling and twisting

• Support the flying operations and additional facilities stand-ups from a military site in Iraq.

• Must be willing and able to participate in all set-up activities to include new buildings/ office locations that have been identified by the program office

Environment/weather conditions can be extreme during different seasons. Candidate must understand and be willing to adjust to climate. Team members will be confined to the base location which is a protected compound on a foreign military base.

This position requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• Experience in desktop support and end user support and PC imaging practices.

• Experience with LAN/WAN design and troubleshooting experience

• Experience in VMware

• Experience with Microsoft Windows servers, Exchange, SQL, IIS and Active Directory.

• Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access).

• Backup and recovery skills with any backup solution

• Experienced with implementing system security policies Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

• Experience with security industry best practices and providing security solutions.

• Must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

• Previous experience working on remote assignments

• Expert understanding of LAN/WAN

• Expert understanding of Storage Area Network (SAN) technology.

• Disaster recovery planning and execution

• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal direction/supervision.

• Must be proactive in meeting mission requirements and customer’s needs.

• Experience working in an aircraft flight operations environment.

• Must develop and maintain good relationships with LM customers, as well as foreign customers and be able to adjust priorities based on mission requirements.

• Experience working internationally in a middle eastern work

environment.

• Knowledge and sensitivity to middle eastern culture.

• Must be a strong self-starter with the strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.

• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

• Flexibility, motivated, a positive attitude and excellent people skills are a must.
