Job Summary

The Online Communications Specialist should be a creative and effective communicator to help manage our online presence. You will contribute to our social media accounts, email marketing, blog, and industry forum engagement. You will be responsible for responding to customers and reaching out to potential customers through various channels. In all interactions, you will be expected to represent our company values and goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with other teams (R&D, Customer Support, Production, Supply Chain, etc.) to develop and implement online communication strategies

  • Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks

  • Email marketing

  • Produce content for blog

  • Engage in forum discussions

  • Stay up to date with current technology and trends in social media, design tools and applications

  • Monitor and synthesize analytic information

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Required Qualifications

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Familiarity with a range of social media platforms

  • Understanding of SEO and web metrics

  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi faceted environment

  • Strong work ethic

  • Initiative/Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks on schedule

  • Ability to type 45 wpm or higher

  • Desired Qualifications

  • Previous Sales/Customer Support experience preferred

  • Experience in social media management

  • Basic html understanding

  • Graphic design skills

  • Competence in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Basic automotive knowledge

  • Basic electrical knowledge

  • 4-year degree

    Working Conditions

    The typical workday is 8:00AM - 5:00PM with a break for lunch. The daily responsibility of the marketing team is to ensure that all projects are completed timely, which involves working outside of normal business hours as needed.

  • Paid Time Off ? PTO is accrued for each pay period at a rate of 2 weeks/year. PTO accrual increases to 3 weeks/annually after 5 years, and 4 weeks/annually after 10 years. Unused PTO carries forward each year with a maximum balance of 6 weeks.
