Siemens Senior Controls Engineer (PLC) in Greenville, South Carolina
We are looking for anexperienced engineer in the field of automation engineering withautomotive background.
The Controls Engineer willwork to produce software packages, on schedule and on budget, to meet thecustomer contract requirements and the customer expectations. Develop anddesign control software, integrate software with electrical and mechanicalsystems and perform the commissioning at customer sites.
You will be engineering andcommissioning software only for SIEMENS SIMATIC controllers and HMIs. Yoursoftware will be used in automotive plants on our automation equipment tohelp our customers build their products.
Responsible for PLC/HMI code development, codeinstallation, debug on job site, and commissioning of the complete system.
Active role in the creation of new automatedsystems as well as the optimizing of existing ones
Your responsibilities will include:
RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Degree in ElectricalEngineering
Automation Engineering experiencewith programming background
At least 5 years ofexperience in the field of automation engineering
Proficient in the automotiveindustry assembly system programming (conveyor technologies and processequipment)
Programming Personal Safetyequipment (i.e. Sick PLS)
At least 5 years ofexperience in Siemens Simatic PLCs and HMIs (Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal,WinCC)
5-10 years of experiencewith drives (Siemens, SEW, Lenze)
Experience with controlsnetwork setup and commissioning such as Profinet and Profibus

PreferredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
CMSE® - Certified MachinerySafety Expert - Pilz US or equivalent
German language skills are aplus
