Role and Responsibility  

Our team is seeking a skilled senior engineer to own key functionality inside Horizon core Agent running inside Remote Desktop Virtual Machine. You will get to work on some of the more challenging and interesting problems building on VMware's production-proven platform. Enabling the digital workspace transformation means developing solutions to allow users to access content from anywhere on any device, and you will be tasked with designing and implementing those solutions to run across the spectrum of devices and systems.

Responsibilities:

Use Win32 and platform APIs to develop new functionality in the existing Agent using C/C+Discover Azure constructs and utilize them in the Agent pairing with Infrastructure components.

Design and evolve Horizon Agent monitoring and metric collection functionality

Bring broad technical experience, creative problem-solving skills, a passion for technology and coding, and a healthy dose of self-motivation.

Building software with great user experience using your knowledge in building distributed systems, blended with a strong systems background.

Take projects from inception and design through to delivery.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in software development using C/C++ on Windows Platform

Experience with Azure platform

Experience with object-oriented design and multi-threaded programming

Experience in the development of end-user focused applications

Knowledge of Windows OS internals and assembly debugging

Experience with developing automated tests

BS in Computer Science or related disciplines - MS or PhD preferred

Preferred Skills

Windows Kernel or device driver developement

Experience with various hypervisor solutions (Azure, vSphere, HyperV, etc.)

Cross platform development experience on Windows, Linux, OS X, iOS, or Android
