The Worldwide Readiness, Assessment, Certification & Enablement (WWRACE) Team is focused on providing the knowledge and skills to empower successful customer business outcomes. We engage with key stakeholders across VMware, including our customers and partners, to ensure they are trained and enablement effectively in their role.
The WWRACE Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team is responsible for planning and executing acquisition enablement integration activities across our VMware stakeholders (field core sellers, technical services, customer success, customer education/learning, global services and our partners), to help VMware realize the value of acquisitions by streamlining and scaling support for acquired companies.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned, experienced Training and Enablement professionals across WWRACE, as well as Project and Program Management professionals across other business functions, assisting with leading strategic, cross-functional projects and programs to drive acquisition integration enablement. This will include close engagement with the Go-To-Market (GTM) Integration Team and the Integration Management Office (IMO).
While in this role, you will:
Be the Subject Matter Expert for acquisition integration within the WWRACE Team
Engage during all stages of the integration, from pre-close and confirmatory due diligence and planning to complete integration of the acquired company into VMware systems, processes and tools
Work closely with project stakeholder teams, within WWRACE and across other VMware business functions, including all GTM M&A workstreams and IMO
Learn and apply industry project management best practices to real-life projects
Train on and continually improve WWRACE’s and VMware’s M&A project methodology, including processes, tools and templates, contributing to the development of company objectives and principles
Apply project methodology to key projects across M&A projects and programs
Develop and execute integration project plans and budgets following established playbook,
Manage the delivery of the project within the constraints of schedule, scope and budget
Manage one or more projects individually or within a wider project/program team.
Stay current on VMware product and solution offerings, as well as industry Project Management trends, methodology and approaches
May supervise and mentor other members of team working on integrations
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, IT, Business Administration, or a relevant field of study and at least 10 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree (MBA Preferred) and 8 years of related experience
Significant experience with mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and specifically integrations
Strong interpersonal skills, including good communication with the ability to articulate ideas in a precise and concise manner
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Intimate knowledge of change management, risk management, setting up and initiating projects
Ability to work autonomously, if needed, and exercise independent judgment when evaluating intangibles
English fluency is mandatory
Ability to work with cross functional teams
Ability to think creatively, take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing business requirements
Motivated self-learner with the passion and follow through to acquire new skills
Work well in a global virtual environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing
Experience with Project Management scheduling and tracking tools (including Smartsheet) is a plus and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of applications
Aspiring to complete Project management certification (e.g. PMP) a plus, but not required
