Engineering Project Manager (Liberty, SC )

Our client in Fire Protection Systems is currently hiring a Lead Project Manager to work in Product Development, cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations.

This position is a Direct Hire role.

Project Manager will schedule plan and coordinate the development and release of new and updated fire protection products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates and manages cross-departmental teams to drive the successful development and release of products.

Develops and maintains project schedules Identifies and resolves critical path issues affecting product release.

Evaluates product development processes and teams to maximize performance.

Assists in identifying opportunities for new or updated products.

Maintains product development progress reporting for company management, including schedule and estimated product cost.

Coordinate product launch planning.

Promotes a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

Maintains vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practice to your supervisor.


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management or Related Field.

4+ years’ experience in product development or construction management.

Demonstrated ability to develop innovative strategies to improve operational efficiency/processes, team competence, and client satisfaction.

Background building and maintaining business relationships with key stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

Outstanding discipline and organizational skills.

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complicated projects.

Strong motivational and collaboration skills.

Technical understanding of mechanical devices and manufacturing processes.

Commitment to driving a culture of quality and responsibility.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Understanding of project management methodologies.

Expertise in project scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.

Experienced problem-solver in tight deadline situations.

Ability to prioritize tasks and resources, hit deadlines and maintain consistent productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with directing and implementing processes.
