7 years of experience managing technical teams as a team lead or manager.
3 years of experience in site-level data center leadership.
Experience managing and developing managers.
4 years of experience working in data centers and building out infrastructure.
Understanding of HVAC and power requirements for high-availability data centers.
Understanding of networks and server hardware architecture, including maintenance and repair.
Excellent strategic problem-solving skills.
The Hardware Operations team deploys and maintains the hardware components of Google’s Compute, Storage and Network infrastructure in the most efficient, reliable, secure, and scalable way possible. We monitor the physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology. You will stay informed on how the site is performing and anticipate and address challenges and roadblocks. You’ll also participate and lead global conversations, initiatives, and strategies, working in close collaboration with the data center site facilities manager and their team.

Be responsible for the hire, management, and implementation of multiple projects for your team.
Ensure data center related priorities are consistent with company objectives.
Oversee the computing hardware and networking operations of a data center site.
Work with others to set and implement short-term and long-term strategy for the site. Identify problems and create solutions for computing and network architecture.
Be the face of Google to the local community and lead the community affairs program for the site.
