Tidelands Health Network Administrator I - Information Systems (Georgetown/Murrells Inlet, SC) in Myrtle Beach Area, South Carolina
Position Summary:
Network Administrator will maintain reliable, secure, and efficient data networks. Incumbent will deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure highly reliable network operations.
Responsibilities:
Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate networks
Install and integrate monitoring and security tools
Manage and maintain all network systems
Manage relationships with ISP/data vendors
Establish and manage VPN/remote connectivity as required
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
Resolve network/slowness problems reported by end-users
Assist with network policy and procedure creation
Specify system requirements and design solutions as required for projects
Research and make recommendations for future roadmaps
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Extensive network experience to include:
Core routing and switching
Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls – IPSec VPN, SSLVPN, and Anyconnect implementation/management
Wireless LAN Controller/Access Point management
MDS Fiber Channel switching configuration, zone management, etc.
UCS server/chassis management
SD-WAN management
Experience with cloud networking and computing a plus
Education:
Associates degree in Information Technology or related field required
BS degree in Computer Science or related field highly desired
Licenses/Certifications:
- At least one advanced networking certification such as CCNA, CCNP, VCP-NV, CWNA, and other relevant training required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
WAN connectivity management using various data circuit types such as MPLS/VPLS, MetroE, EPL, etc.
Expert knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RSTP, etc.
Management, control, and monitoring of network/server infrastructure using tools such as content filtering solutions, Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, etc
Familiarity with configuration backup and recovery software and methodologies
Excellent organization, prioritization and documentation skills
Physical Requirements: Medium Physical Agility Test (PAT)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
