Samsung Electronics America Inventory Technician in Newberry, South Carolina
The position is responsible for supporting the MIP center office works by purchasing, managing spares and operating the resource management systems.
Role and Responsibilities
•Review requisitions for completeness and clarity. Missing or unclear information should be obtained from the user.
•Maintain adequate records of all transactions and records required by the policy and procedure manual.
•Complete cycle counts at the required frequency to maintain inventory accuracy.
•Establish Min / Max inventory levels as well as reorder points for all spare parts / consumable inventory items.
•Perform purchasing by using the systemic purchasing systems. (BQMS, SAP, MYfinance and PUMI’s and GMES)
•Maintain Work areas and cages in a clean and organized manner.
•Maintain stock levels by comparing usage of items.
•Manage the distribution of items to the work force by manning the Cages at all times
•GR/GI of inventory by required systems.
•Process invoices for all items requested.
•Participate in development of standard work standards and the line balancing for productivity and work place organization.
•Assist in problem solving for inventory areas when needed.
•Conduct 5S and inventory audits and prepare and distribute reports on the results.
•Support and implement manufacturing cost reductions.
•Support and implement LEAN manufacturing techniques and Methods, including work flow and cell optimization
•Develop and implement project plans to improve overall plant cleanliness, organization, and productivity.
•Other duties may be assigned by your manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Additional Job Description
•Associate’s Degree preferred
•Experience in production environments.
•Experience in spare parts related to production.
•Must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
•Good verbal and written communication skills.
•Proficient with Microsoft office software and ability to learn new specific software.
•Must have the ability to work with others and with teams.
•Must be willing to work additional hours or shifts needed for the department
