Spinvi Cloud Engineer (Azure Focus) in North Charleston, South Carolina
Core4ce is looking for a Cloud Engineer to focus on enterprise cloud and hybrid cloud solutions for a government client. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in various cloud offerings with a heavy emphasis on Azure and be capable of both iteratively engineering/architecting solutions that would consider and incorporate on-prem, hybrid, and cloud requirements. The position requires someone with both an exceptional engineering and programmatic execution background who possesses the polish and business acumen to be client and executive facing.
Support customers as they migrate projects into government private cloud, government-approved public cloud, and on-premises environments
Design systems that may scale to hundreds or even thousands of virtual machines or cloud instances
Provide expertise in Azure Cloud Operations with ability to assist in configuring, troubleshooting, analyzing and successfully resolving issues with Windows and Linux servers.
Utilize cloud automation tools such as Azure Automation, CloudFormation and Terraform
Provide guidance in creating deployment scripts (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
Developer and improve on existing PowerShell and Python scripting
Assist with data migration to cloud based environment (Azure SQL and Oracle RDS)
Work with customers regarding cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
Represent Core4ce well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
Provide strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues on all tiers.
Demonstrate Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix and VMWare experience.
Accredited BS degree in a technical field and six (6) years of operating system and cloud hosting experience, or twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with IT projects supporting Medical Health Systems or other Federal systems in a virtualized hosting environment (Advanced degrees may replace experience)
Familiarity with cloud and/or datacenter architecture, to include networking and networking devices, security groups, cloud instances, and cloud native technologies
Ability to plan and organize work and interact with technical and non-technical personnel to translate user requirements into plans and diagrams.
Demonstrated detailed knowledge of IA concepts and requirements as they pertain to customer projects
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of DOD and/or DHA specifications and standards.
Experience performing system design integration planning for multiple large-scale installations.
Experience performing hardware and software evaluations
Familiarity with system testing, evaluation, planning, execution, and management.
Familiarity with performing system requirements planning and oversight.
Familiarity with development milestone scheduling.
Demonstrated understanding of FISMA and HIPAA IA requirements.
Familiarity with information security management and information systems audits.
Excellent customer service and organization skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
Current Security+ Certification
Ability to obtain an OS certification or complete approved related training within 180 days of hire
Depending on education obtained, may be required to have an advanced industry recognized certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, or Azure Solutions Architect – Expert.
