Description CYBER SECURITY ANALYST (STACC-21-0625-F):
Bowhead is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support one of its clients in North Charleston, SC. The Cyber Security Analyst will maintain the establishment of infrastructure services supporting cybersecurity environments such as directory services in support of authentication, networking monitoring services, domain name services, virtual hosting infrastructure, etc. They will support the functionality of an environment designed to foster cybersecurity research, development, and operations.
Responsibilities may include:
• Leading efforts to validate security controls, verifying STIG configurations, and executing frequent ACAS scans - acting as the primary ACAS SME.
• Maintain ACAS/Nessus Vulnerability scanner.
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Host Based Security System (HBSS) across multiple environments / enclaves.
• Develop HBSS policies for multiple baselines.
• Participating and helping with remediation’s, to include OS / Network patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
• Participating in and providing inputs for accreditation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• Develop system level documentation, as needed.
Requirements • A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
• Possess a strong knowledge of configuring and using ACAS to scan RHEL, Windows, VMWare, networks, and more.
• Security+ (or higher) certification.
• Possess strong troubleshooting skills.
• Possess a general knowledge of DoD Cyber activities, including DISA STIGS, supporting RMF accreditations, etc.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Host Based Security System (HBSS) installation, maintenance, and management experience.
• Understanding of Windows, Linux OS and Cisco networking equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with diverse audiences both internally and externally.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Additional consideration will be had for automation experience, including the use of Jenkins, ansible, and other technologies that enable automated patching / deployments.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
