TEKsystems IT Technician in North Charleston, South Carolina

Description:

Our client is a technology solutions provider offering industrial surge protection, connectivity, and telecom, energy and transportation infrastructure solutions that support and protect the world’s critical infrastructure. They have built a worldwide organization with offices and production facilities throughout North America and Europe. They are looking to bring on an IT technician to support their North Charleston campus. This person will work alongside the IT Manager who is the only other IT person on the team here in Charleston (they are in the process of building out this team). This person will be supporting 2 buildings at the North Charleston campus both in-person and over the phone (about 75-100 end users). While there are 200+ people that work within these buildings, some are within the manufacturing area which don't require IT support. Day to day this person will be providing support for anything from password resets, setting up new employees/users, updating and maintaining key fobs within Active Directory, troubleshooting equipment--they use ThinkPad laptops, software troubleshooting, printer troubleshooting/connectivity, and more. They will have support from the IT manager for anything that is extreme. They use an in-house ticketing system to track all tickets.

Top Skills Details:

1) At least a full year or 2 of hands-on technical support in an enterprise environment specifically with the addition of Active Directory exposure

2) Knowledge and experience troubleshooting software systems (i.e. Outlook, Chrome, Google, Copier systems etc.)

3) Strong work ethic: the company heavily relies on this person for IT support. if they have poor attendance it really impacts the teams ability to access all their tools and complete their work

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

This person needs to have strong customer service skills and an out-going personality as the company has a strong culture where everyone is very invested in each other.
