Spinvi Windows Systems Administrator Mid-Level in North Charleston, South Carolina
The Windows System Administrator will play an integral role on the NIWC-LANT CSSP Infrastructure and Platform Sustainment (CIPS) team supporting local and remote user desktop machines and servers. The candidate is expected to have systems administration skills with Windows 10/2012 R2/2016/2019 operating systems. This position will focus on systems and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation.
Responsible for the sustainment of systems within enterprise-class environment
Provide support for emergent Windows operating system issues
Competent and adaptable in all areas of Windows systems administration
Other Duties as assigned
Minimum of 4 years of experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems in:
System installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures.
Active Directory forests, domains, group policy management, OU/security group/user/computer object administration, Sites and Services, DNS, and DHCP.
Highly Desired Skills:
Automated desktop deployment systems
Dell laptops, notebooks, and mobile workstations
VMWare vSphere 6.x
Server hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance
Experience working in classified spaces
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification & DoD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification
- Up to 10% Travel May be required
