Ankura Senior Associate, Workday, Data Analyst in South Carolina

The HR Data Specialist serves as the data steward for Ankura people data, analyzing and utilizing the data to reach conclusions and drive recommendations to attract and retain Ankura’s talented workforce. Demonstrated ability to drive meaningful analysis and articulate those people insights in visual and impactful presentations. Responsible for ensuring our system of record (Workday) and the business processes within the human capital function enable ongoing data integrity and insights. Maximizes technological capabilities to reduce manual reporting providing key stakeholders access to real-time people insights and improving reporting efficiency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops meaningful people insights with a focus on total rewards and aligned to business strategy for ongoing operational reporting.

  • Develops and completes analysis and audit of annual compensation increases and bonuses to ensure pay parity across key demographic groups. Develops recommendations based on the analysis.

  • Through data analysis, ensures that base pay, incentive pay, variable pay (where applicable), and other recognition options remain competitive and conform to the current compensation strategy.

  • Analyzes global total rewards and partners with key stakeholders to assess and deploy compensation frameworks including salary structures and pay analysis at both global and local levels.

  • Ensures people data is entered into Workday in a consistent and accurate manner; leads audits and ensures data integrity.

  • Supports compensation survey participation, job evaluation, incentive plan design, and associated analysis.

  • Enables Workday Advanced Compensation process for year-end salary increases and bonuses.

  • Establishes and drives a cadence for People Insights reporting spanning attrition, hiring, development, promotion, performance, and diversity. Utilizes data to develop a hypothesis and partnering with the People Advisory function of Ankura presents recommendations for improvements and focus.

  • Maintains and ensures the confidentiality of people's data and ensures compliance with data protection regulations, GDPR, etc.

  • Develops data dashboard capabilities in Workday to enable Manager Self Service of key people data.

  • Supports Benefits analysis and projects as needed.

  • Supports Workforce planning efforts as needed.

Basic Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of Data Analysis and business experience.

  • Experience with data analysis techniques and tools such as Workday, Tableau, and SQL.

  • Excellent visual design skills enabling impactful PowerPoint presentations.

  • The employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience working in a Compensation and Benefits function/position; compensation analysis experience desired.

  • Experience working in the professional services industry.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and human relations skills.

  • Skilled at effectively managing and prioritizing escalations or business-critical situations.

  • Consistently exhibits high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated command skills and an ability to influence others.

  • Ability to coordinate, control, and organize multiple functions and activities.

  • Must be comfortable multi-tasking and adjusting to competing priorities.
