Keurig Dr Pepper Sr. IT Systems - Business Analyst in Spartanburg, South Carolina
SUMMARY: The Spartanburg, SC, operation is a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and K-Cup® pod packaging facility along with a full beverage regional distribution center (RDC). The site operation will function on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), principles of Lean manufacturing, and the power of High-Performance Teams. All associates at the Spartanburg site will have specific accountability and ownership not only to the site operations, but to the functional business operations of which they are a part. The site will run on enterprise information technology systems and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing equipment, packaging equipment, and material movement equipment, and best-in-KDP standard processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The IT Systems Business Analyst is responsible for supporting and improving a broad variety of automated control systems, operations systems and IT applications. These systems range in scope from single point application software to advanced manufacturing execution systems to network server level systems. The IT Systems Business Analyst will know and understand how to troubleshoot, maintain and improve systems within the processes of coffee roasting, packaging and distribution. Business Analyst will leverage data, processes and information to solve business problems.
Works with the multi-site engineers, maintenance technicians, site operations crew leaders and technicians to perform appropriate IT systems troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement.
Understands and conducts initial diagnosis of IT systems, operation applications, and automation systems prior to calling for escalated support.
Collaborate with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies.
Support data acquisition and reporting systems to support testing and evaluation work in accordance company and site goals
Working with members of the business and key stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and map out processes.
Participates with process, packaging and facilities equipment suppliers to verify system conformance and compliance with plant computer, IT security and application interfaces.
Analyze current IT and business environment to identify new opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Recommend and apply corrective actions to IT systems, operations applications and automation control systems or modifications to improve employee safety, assure consistent product quality, improve manufacturing efficiencies, and reduce manufacturing costs and waste
Support local site resources to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve serious and complex IT systems, operation applications and automation control problems
Exercise proper change control procedures and maintain system documentation
Ensure business continuity through industry standards and good engineering practices of redundancy and preventative maintenance/updates.
Manage and coordinate activity on larger IT systems, operations applications; and automation capital and continuous improvement projects
Review processes and procedures, identifying and documenting improvements and sharing them effectively across an organization.
Engage with employees at all levels to help drive user adoption of IT/Systems solutions and act as a conduit for improvement ideas back to the broader IT team. Assisting in the use of software and data management to all functional areas of the site.
Notify the site of IT/Systems plans and changes, and work with site leadership to actively manage any impact on business performance or plans.
Communicate and employ the capabilities of the overall IT organization for the benefit of the site and to ensure standardization across the enterprise wherever possible.
Working with the Enterprise Architecture, actively contribute to overall IT/Systems and automation strategic direction.
Maintain IT system, operations application and automation system support database with cost information for annual business planning.
Participates as a member of Business Unit and TPM Starpoint teams

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred
5+ years of Industrial IT, Systems and Automation experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment preferred
Experience with SAP ERP and Distribution to Cash and Design to Produce business process flows.
Experience partnering with manufacturing business stakeholders regarding industrial automation and integration
Nice to Have
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and Warehouse Execution Systems (MES or WES)
Advanced software application understanding
Moderate controls depth – PLCs, Mfg. networks, SCADA, automation systems,
Enterprise and manufacturing systems experience – SAP, Quality, scheduling
Project delivery experience – successfully lead and deliver small to medium size projects across both controls and enterprise systems
Business presence – have the demeanor and ability to manage relationships with core internal business customers and/or external suppliers
Analytical skills – deeper problem-solving skills including situations where the data/info is incomplete
Possess an advanced understanding of computers, industrial networks and control system interfaces
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL databases
Lean Manufacturing experiences a plus
Proven track record for analyzing and improving business processes and knowledgeable in at least one change methodology (Six Sigma, TPM, Lean, etc.)
Ability to travel and work hours outside of routine schedule as necessary
